History/Overview

Identification Data & Imaging has been providing identification systems, products and supplies to businesses and institutions for over 10 years. As a veteran-owned company, we pride ourselves on understanding the various issues related to security and being able to respond with commitment and expertise. Our customer base spans a broad spectrum of levels… from large Wall Street organizations to small privately held entities in every conceivable industry and trade class.

Although our business is still young, the majority of our personnel have been in the security business for over 25 years, and collectively we have over 100 years of experience in the industry. As such we are uniquely qualified to deliver the visual identification solutions that will interface with most any security effort, and our knowledgeable technicians allow us to accommodate each and every customer in the fulfillment of their identification requirements.

Most importantly, as a family-owned business we consider each and every customer to be a part of our family as well, so no matter what size your company is, everyone is treated with a level of excellence not found elsewhere.

Over the years, IDI has donated time and equipment to various charitable organizations to enable them to have the proper security for specific events. Additionally IDI played a large role during the months preceding the 9-11 attacks in New York City, as well as provided additional equipment to help secure special areas while our country was in harm's way. IDI holds the contract for both the State of New York and the State of Massachusetts, as well as other government contracts. We are a certified dealer for Fargo and Polaroid printing systems, and in fact have been the number one dealer of Polaroid systems nationwide for the last 3 years. In addition to our Long Island, New York headquarters we have two satellite sales and support offices in Massachusetts, serving the Boston area and 128 corridor and one of the fastest growing areas in the country in Las Vegas, Nevada. These three locations serve the entire country allowing us to provide the quickest delivery possible of all merchandise and supplies.

Jeff Brodsky

Jeffery Brodsky is the President of Identification Data and Imaging. Jeff brings his considerable knowledge and experience in the identification field to IDI, helping shape the company's commitment to learning how the newest technologies in security can impact its customer base. The result is that IDI has remained a leader in a field that changes almost every day. Coincidently, one of Jeffery's chief interests is staying abreast of world events and as such understands on a macro stage how IDI's client companies can remain as safe as possible. He has successfully brought these advanced identification and security solutions into a wide range of companies… from funded start-ups that depend on the sensitivity of its intellectual property to Fortune 1000 companies that need the most advanced security measures in the world. Jeff is a certified dealer of both Fargo and Polaroid equipment and earns the trust of even governmental agencies, having obtained contracts from the State of New York, The Commonwealth of Massachusetts and other government contracts on a state and municipal level. He graduated with a BA in Communications from the University of Hartford. Prior to IDI, Jeff owned and operated a mid-size construction company, and still engages in real estate transactions from time-to-time. He also spends considerable amounts of his free time with many charitable organizations, sitting on several boards.

A Message from Bert Brodsky-Chairman

We began IDI for a very important and elemental reason: I was concerned about the security at Sandata, the parent company of IDI. We deal with sensitive data in a very sensitive business, the healthcare industry. And even though we had the most stringent security measures possible, we were still concerned that the access controls we had in place were not complete unless we could visually identify each and every person in our buildings. When we saw for ourselves the power of the convergence of data and identification, we knew that other companies could protect themselves as well. Thus, IDI was born.
